By now you know that women make up over half of the world’s population. Isn’t it about time they also start taking part in making half of the decisions that affect the world? At Olympia BDS it’s our goal to advocate for the rights of women in society through calling for equal treatment of women of all ages in society, be it at home, at school or at work.
We have just a small staff though our team has been able to achieve tremendous results in the work that we do through running a very vibrant volunteering program that targets women of all ages around the world, encouraging them to take up an active role in advocacy initiatives within their communities targeted at promoting women rights.
Our team tackles various socioeconomic and political challenges facing women from aspects of health, education, economic empowerment, leadership and governance among others. We believe that by women actively getting involved as opposed to waiting for civil society organizations to come to their aid, they are likely to achieve better results. We are of the strong conviction that through harnessing girl power from women all over the world, we will make a difference by making society to finally see and appreciate our critical role and value as women.
